Okay after that bout of food poisoning it took me a week to get back to 100% normal. So here’s a quick screen printing video about the zeroing system on my presses I sell. I’m hoping to cut some squeegee today and then do some test printing for Mike Wrigley’s 3 color halftone art. I was thinking of doing 2 sets of screens at 45LPI and 55LPI to show the difference and make the video a little more interesting. So stay tuned. That will be the next orienting video for sure. I may have a couple of other videos to upload in the meantime while I work on that video.

Okay so I originally had a different video planned for you today but I had an issue with the quality of the video clip Ranar made for it. I’ll have to try a re-edit and see if we upload that one later next week. This is a video made by Ranar about the assembly of the P4400 non micro registration floor press. It’s a pretty good video but they did forget one shot showing the instillation of the steel indexing key. But over all this is a very helpful video if you’re having trouble assembling the Ranar P4400. This t-shirt printing presses is non micro, but micro adjust heads can be added at time of purchase.

This was a very fun video to make and upload. I made some video footage on 3 separate days so forgive the poor color balancing. I think I did not turn on the video lights in some of these shots…LOL. This educational screen printing video is about a customer who needed help with a job as he was setting up to print at home. The Catspit Productions print shop is actually available for supervised rentals and when any of our customers’ needs a place to print for whatever reason, we are happy to oblige. So here we see Mike from Impact Clothing doing a print job he had picked up before he was really ready to print. While we were getting him set up with equipment and supplies, we helped him learn how to do this one color print job in our shop. I had to make the screen twice I think as the art wasn’t the greatest but after a few tweaks we were able to get it to print well as is since there was a time restriction. The customer loved the art anyway and in the end that is all that matters. Check out this video where I follow Mike along 3 days of learning, setup and printing. This is probably a long overdue educational video about mesh abrasion. Recently one of our YouTube viewers requested it so I figured it was time. It made me really want to revisit my chemical videos and make a stand alone video for each chemical used in the screen making process. If only my sales were relative to my video views on YouTube 

This tutorial screenprinting video is a demonstration on how to use mesh abrader when printing tee shirts or other preassembled garments. Here we discuss why and when to use mesh abrader. You’ll learn about what mesh abrader does and the reason we actually do it. And most importantly you’ll learn about when not to use mesh abrader. See an actual demonstration of how to use mesh abrader and take a close look at our SaatiChem Direct Prep 1 product. Basically mesh abrasion is done when you buy new screens. In order for the emulsion to adhere to the polyester fibers of the screen mesh we need to rough it up some. When polyester screen mesh is brand new it is slick and has no tooth. Emulsion will have a difficult time adhering to the fibers this way. Mesh abrader has micro particles that will lightly rough the mesh fibers enough for the emulsion to adhere nicely. So this is an important step that will make your screen making a lot easier. I think it’s one of those steps that many people skip along with degreasing the mesh. But both are important steps to do and they will help you in making stencil exposing easier.
